Default Help with Cat5 connection

I ran a hard line for my new computer, since my plaster walls didn't like my wireless router. I ran the lines, hook it up, but my computer won't recognize it. I plugged my laptop into it, and boom, it's fine.

I have a Biostar Gforce 6100-M9 motherboard with an integrated Realtek RTL8201BL on duty for the connection. I've looked through all the software given to me (drivers) with the components, but I have found nothing for this ******. I've also hit up google with no avail. Any other suggestions?

It just shows my wireless card when I go into the device manager. I think I'm just going to buy a cheap card later today and be done with it.

Your onboard lan may not be enabled. Try going into your bios and see if it's enabled or disabled. Also, check under Other Devices in Device Manager to see if your onboard lan is listed.
