Default Help With body kit

I have a body kit on my civic abd Have the wings west rs sideskirts on it but the 3m tape is not holding. I cleaned the surface with paint thinner then cleaned it with soap and water real good and dried it off. The 3m tape stays for a day or two then comes off. Is there any type of glue other than epoxy(already tried it) that works, that will hold even in the cold temps here in Denver?

I think you should duck tape that ---- on then make a big spoiler out of an old snow board and ski poles. hell you could even paint it too but it would give you more power if you just left it primered.

wow... a snap on kit.... just like those modifiers... i would seriously would recomend using some heavy duty industrial glue that wont eat the ---- out of your urethane, because if your not carefull some glues will eat the ---- out of the plastic and not stick at all... you should do a spot check...

okay, go to a body shop supply store and talk to the guy at the counter. 3M makes several different kinds of epoxies designed to bond these things on. If you prep it right...this kit will never come off on its own. (but it can be removed with care if you know what you're doing.) I've been using this stuff for years on semis. (I run a body shop at a kenworth dealership) Ask about the duramix, or automix line of adhesives and they'll point you towards the one you need. That double sided tape will never work right and I don't know how anyone could expect it to hold for very long.

Here in Canada this problem hapens
alot , because of our extreme temp. changes.
the tape on WW kits is 3M double sided tape
You can buy it at 3M distributors in 25 ft legnths.

Iam willing to bet you didnt use the self taping
screws in the fenderwells.some guys here think
the tape alone will hold it because they dont
want to drill holes in their rear quarters, then
they head out on the freeway in minus 10 deg.
and the next thing they know thier side skirt is
stuck to the windsheild of a SEMI.
