nobody? ok well check this out... today i drove to work and when i left for lunch i heard a gringing noise comin from the driverside just below the engine mount... water pump? could oil get in radiator from the water pump?

if its running hot it could be a few things, head gasket which just because oil and water arent mixing doesnt mean thats not it,t-stat could be bad/stuck,radiator could be plugged up.have you checked to see if the fan is working? if it is getting hot at stops, that could be it

yea fan is working... going to go thruogh a process of elimination tomorrow... im really hoping its not a head gasket... i believe what i was thinking was oil is actually stop leak... but imma flush the coolant system tomorrow as well

iv e heard stop leak is bad to use, make sure you flush it real good, also check the t-stat,it may be stuck .you can do a leak down test to see if its the head gasket,or check to see if there bubbles in the radiator, thats another way to verify a head gasket
