We need to start incorporating laws like that. I guarentee crime will drop. Why shouldn't we make punishment harsher? Obviously we have a HUGE problem with crime in the U.S and something needs to be done. I think the punishments aren't harsh enough to convince shitbags to obey the laws.

Sounds either like he's in total shock, or trying to cover up the fact he has his dick out and is stroking to the carnage.

Judging by the heavy breathing I'm guessing the latter.

Its too expensive to keep someone in prison for that long and its not like these kind of people can pay a fine. Why should i be paying my hard earned money so some lazy thieving bastard can sit in prison with cable TV on my dime? At the same time the death penalty ends up costing almost the same as life in prison due to the appeals and other ---- they get.

I think a person should be allowed one fuckup and then your done. A person would be able to make one mistake at most, hopefully learn their lesson, and live as a good citizen. They would have a hefty fine or jail time and that is their one and only chance. If they guy screws up again and it is a situation where you know he was guilty then he dies. No appeals or anything but that would only work in cases where you know he was guilty. Then its death by firing squad or something cheap.

I may be crazy but i am sick and tired of working damn hard and seeing such a high portion of my paycheck going to taxes to support lazy bastards sitting at home on welfare and criminals living a pretty easy life in prison.

I am disgusted by my generation that thinks its fine to be on government assistance just because they are too lazy to get off their ass and work hard like the rest of the honest people in this nation do. I am a student, i work my way through school, and i will have loans to pay off after that. Welfare in addition to the increasing amount of crime in this nation are going to cause some big problems in the future.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. :-\ I don't know what the solution would be, but they need to make crimes a bit less "worth it" to criminals. You might say it costs you too much in taxes to keep these -----ups in prison, but what about your insurance rates going up and up and up because cars in your area are getting stolen more often than I scratch my balls? I say we cut California off and push them away and anybody who fucks up in the remaining connected states gets shipped over to CA. Keep the pieces of worthless ---- over there and they can kill and steal from whoever they want and nobody will give a damn(kinda like they do now, but we won't have to deal with it anymore). :3

But then they can't steal a car with no hands :P

Okay, how about this.

First - Index fingers cut off
Second - One hand cut off
Third - One foot cut off
Fourth - Head cut off

sounds good to me

Re: helicopter crash

I guess the ultimate question is when are the penalties for violating a law too much. This isn't a concrete subject to argue about, but I know where I stand (correct). Just think about this: They just raised the fine for going 15 over in VA to $3500+. Granted it will stop a lot of people from speeding on the freeway, but it also will encourage plenty of "runners". I know I would try. <what is that solving?

People are going to break laws, we are a bunch of animals. Discouraging the criminal activity is a must, but making the penalties overly harsh is not going to make anything better. There is no perfect answer, only a happy medium.

BTW I'm moving to Detroit next summer, right after I get my concealed weapons permit :y

P.S. Brazil makes St. Louis/Detroit/Flint look like candyland.

people that run from the cops are ------- morons. they deserve to be locked up. the problem is that some ------- pussies is the government want fair penalties for dumb ------- pieces of ---- that break the law. sorry ---- sticks, you lost all privileges when you killed someone. ---- wasting time in court, ---- saying that the death penalty is cruel, ---- all the money spent on appeals.

if the judicial system would enforce penalties in a timely manner, it would be less taxing on citizens. bullets don't cost that much money, but some ----- will complain about shooting someone being too cruel of a punishment. sorry i don't find that cruel when they stabbed someone 30 times, or tied someone up and beat them to death. imo, the only penalties that criminals shouldn't receive a death sentence for are non violent/ non death related crimes.

Re: helicopter crash

Our Arizona state representative got arrested for DUI, speeding and driving on a suspended license back in March and the court systems are so ------- corrupt that she hasn't been charged and hasn't served ANY time in jail for any of her violations. Extreme DUI, speeding 70 in a 55, driving on a suspended license, all with sertraline and diet pills in her system. Sertraline is an anti-depressant that you're not supposed to drink alcohol with. This bitch will walk free because none of our fucked up corrupt courts will charge her with a god damn thing. It's been almost 5 months and they still aren't even sure if they're going to charge the filthy -----. :3
