The healthcare system in the US is terrible.

But like other said, your best bet is to go back to school, it will benefit you in many ways, not just physical health insurance.

i pay like 25 bucks for benefits at my work 8) full benefits, medical/dental/vision/rx . all these benefits and i never go to the doctor :-X . but its nice to have :y. my suggestion would be to find a good job with good benefits. they wont turn you down ;)
