Default headstuds and fuel pump on boosted D-series???

is it a necessity for me to get ARP headstuds and a walbro 255lph fuel pump for my turbo D16Z6 on 12psi of boost? I know the headstuds would be safe insurance but I'm not sure about the fuel pump or not..?

jago, hows it goin? it's been a while since I talked to ya. how's you boosted D holdin up for ya? If I could replace the head bolts with ARP head studs without having to replace the head gasket then I'd just rather do it now, If i can do maybe 1 stud at a time. In that case it'd be alot easier to replace a stud than pull the whole head and replace the gasket.

Why not just replace the gasket? it's not like it's that much harder I know it's cheaper, but do you really think it will hold as well the second time?

As far as replacing studs, the studs won't "break" on you. You will either replace all of them or none with ARP's.

oh yeah I'd replace them all at the same time. I was just wondering if i could losen up a bolt and replace them on at a time? but do them all. I know that alot of time's you can actually re-use head gaskets a 2nd time as long as you use them on the same block again. I know they wont' break' but the head will lift over about 8psi and pop a headgasket. then I'll have to pull the head in that case

I ran a 255 pump and head studs as piece of mind.

when you blow the stock gasket, and you will, get an upgraded one(comteic or whatever) with the arp bolts.

nah, stock headgaskets for life, arp studs are good tho

and yes, stock fuel pump will work for quite a bit of horsepower.

yeah no need for an aftermarket headgasket. just get the studs and your good to go. reuse the old gasket just get some copper spray for it. works wonders
