I like mine in my Evo, after turning them on for the first time and seeing EVERYTHING on the road, I never want to go back to standard lights. Mine also has a special little feature to keep from blinding fools around town...

---- silverstars, for a little more money you can get Cheap HIDs that are way more effective. IMO 4300k is about right, the light is more white than the purple tint that is prefered by the ricer community.
This is almost what my car has. I actually have a little dial that I can spin to raise or lower the beam level to keep from whacking people in oncoming traffic. Once and a while with the fogs on too I still get the "warning flash" from other drivers thinking I have my high beams on, one quick flip to show 'em the highs usually takes care of that and has them swerving.

Thanks for all the input guys! Aren't there like 3 different silver star levels or is silver star THE top level? I also thought about something a lot different with yellow PIAA style bulbs....comments?

Yellow bulbs in anything but fog lights gets your *** pounded by the po-po here in VA. Dunno about where you are though.

I got a set of 5000k real ones for 120 bucks and i could see clearly. Slight blue tint too.... some of those silverstar bulbs are ------- expensive.

the reason why hids get a bad wrap is because many people either don't aim them right or use a housing that is not designed for the bulb thereby producing excessive glare. 4300 to 6000k is about right for light output....anything more is ricerish and actually degrades the amount of light.
