Is the head still mounted on the block in car or just by itself? Just do it yourself. It's just getting the valves and that junk out if you don't have the tools to do it. It's not all that hard.

i dont know if i have the right tools or not what all would i need to get them off and the head is off the block already.. so how much would you pay if you dropped the head off somewhere and they installed it.

If your not comfortable doing it yourself, find the cheapest machine shop in your area and get a valve job done, but ask them to use the new parts and tell them you want the old parts back. They shoulden't charge you any extra to install the new parts, they have to pull the old ones to do the valve job. If the shop you choose is like most of the ones around me, they disassemble your head, hot tank the casting, clean the valves and springs in a washtank, inspect everything, regrind the valves and seats to the proper angles, then reassemble everything and mill the deck to true it.
