hatch or teg. or any other realistic sugestions
ok im editing this because i wrote way to much. my car is broken it ------- blows the rod to work on i love the car but its an expensive little bitch that needs blown up.
i have to buy a new car to drive my *** to college.
I want to buy ether an integra or a hatch
im good to spend around 5 grand. because i want to have this all paid off in a year. maybe more. so i was thinking about buying a hatch and droping a b18c up in that bitch. or just buy a gsr with a b18c alredy in it.any info or input would be appriciated greatly. i have to buy a car in like 2 or 3 weeks. and i thought id ask a whole bunch of honda guys who arnt ricers.. so yeah thanks - caleb

that sounds like a good deal for that hatch or whatever it is...
you asked about handleing on the 2 cars. both in my opinion are about the same. if you get a teg, you have a B series motor, perfect for a LS/Vtec....
a hatch, with a GSR or ITR swap, and to have someone else do the swap, you are probably looking at around 5G?? maybe.
and thats a stock JDM motor. if you get a teg, you could get just the motor, and rewire it. that would probably cost you about 1G for someone else to do it.
In a hatch, if you were gonna do a turbo set-up, I would stick with a built D series in a hatch.for 2G and out-run most B series.

yeah it helps out allot. i want a car that handles well but yeah im deffinatly throwing on a snail. i alredy have most of the ---- from my celica. but ill probebly sell it all and buy new ----. i dont think id ever buy the itr motor because its like 1500 more than the b18c and blowing up a motor that cost that much would make me cry for months.

for real though, buy the integra. what turbo is on the celica, what condition is it in, and why not use it?
is your celica the AWD turbo version? there is a AWD celica running high 11 sec and daily drivin, and a sleeper from hell. that thing owns everyone!

i have the motor. the na version but the only diffrence is compression the heads are the same diffrent valve covers. the 3sge can handle 300hp on a stock block. but the ECU sucks and even the alltrac ecu doesnt like to go past 12 psi there set factory at 8. i have the cast manifold and twin entry ct26 off the 89 altrac. im probebly going to sell it to my freind with a mr2. i paid 200 for mani and turbo. but i found some girl whos dad has a shop in a town neer here and he said he'll sell me any turbo in his shop that he pulled form a junk yard then sandblasted and cleaned up for 50 bucks. i think i might go with the teg it all realy depends on what i can get a better deal on
