Has anyone seen the new Smart car yet
 

I passed by the dealership today and there was a tiny little car there. Its called a Smart. For some reason I liked it. They have 3 models, one being a 3cyl. turbo roadster at only $15,500. Go to www.smart.com and check them out. Let me know what you guys think

Oh, and the roadster weighs in at just over 1700lbs.

um... they sell em like hot cakes in europe. someone in greece as a turbo one. i think they have 00cc engines?
the msart is for fuel economy.

They are in the US now, but it must be limited. I know its for fuel economy, but so was the CRX HF and look at what people do to that. The roadster looks pretty good and is very light. Could be a good starting platform.

i saw somewhere that said they run like 12 sec 1/4 miles stock or some ----, can't say i beleive it

You are good not to beleive it. I always Tivo "5th gear", so along with cool segments on super cars, you get wierd euro ----. The smart car is a big cult thing there, people love to dress em up.

The host of the show described the convertible as, "what judge dred would drive if he was gay". That was the black one with red interior.

We have tons of those ---- boxes over here :'(, they are about the slowes vehicles you can buy (0-60 in 19 seconds or something like that). They come with a few different engines, all turbo but only between 50-70 hp :-X

theres a boosted on in greece. its petty damn fast. it makes like 150 some hp? but it fucken flies. you just cant make too many corners in it though.

And the cost of that tiny ---- in Portugal is like 22.000 $ depending on the version..... I hate that, in Lisbon there´s tons of it, like flees in a homeless dog.

I just saw one driving down the street today. It was a defintie head turner for 15k. It was the small convertible one.
