Default It happened while i was driving, arg!

Yes, i had just bought another 90 crx, with a d16z6 motor, and a port and polished head to restore, it was in better condition that my 89 si. Today i decided to swap the cams, i have a zex cam, the other one was stock. Did that, was a little curious about the timing belt, but i said what the hell, its only a quick test drive. sounded a little valve chattery, nneded a valve adjustment, but i took off. I get on the open stretch, get her up to about 5500 in 2 nd gear, and all of a sudden power jsut stops, i pull out the clutch and she dies. Hmmmm, sure enough, that damn timing belt just had to give, so now i have to go out, and hope to god the valves ae okay. Doubt they are, but what the heck. I have two other a6 heads, and 1 other z6 head, just dont want to have to swap right now, plus i dont have a headgasket or anything, to use, hodna's not open till tomarrow. Whatever, had to vent.

I missed the step called "tightening" on my timing belt, it's real loose between the exhaust gear and the crank gear, but it's tight on the other side.

yeah, it just plain snapped, first thing that caught my eye as i popped the hood, i grabbed it and started jogging home. Luckily i was only about a mile away from home, wasnt too bad. I still have to go out there and start workign on it. At least its like 75 here in florida, but teh skeeters are startin to come out, lol. I hate these things.
