Anyone want to join me in a chorus of laughter?

I have pictures of my CRX sitting next to Todd Stough's 5.0TT on my web gallery. I can walk over and take a picture of myself sitting on a Celica All-Trac (3S-GTE) front clip - it's 30 feet away from me right now. Dave's Eclipse runs a 3" GM (Hitachi) MAF, freq converter w/ Apexi AFC, ECU fiddled for extended mappings - better setup than a MAF-T for $100 total - I wonder who set that up? I tuned 25 cars last year, not with faggot prepackaged cakeboy solutions for sale to the masses but with software I helped develop, four of them exceptionally fast, and hang out mainly with Domestic guys. I wonder what I get into in my spare time?

now, what size turbos, thats my next problem, because i am doing this ---- HMT style. i will need big turbos because each turbo is going to have about 2.85L's of displacement pushing them. and i think that .60/.62s are going to be too small.

you have a gt4 front clip?? do you want to do me a favor and look on the shifter arms on the transmission and tell me if theres a bushing inbetween the 2 fork things that come down from the actual shifter arm for the in and out movement of it?

Larger size!

Where exactly am I supposed to look? If you mean (from picture POV) the right hand/upper cable runs into an L shaped lever that interfaces with the shift arm that comes out of the transmission and hooks directly to the left hand/lower shift cable... yes, there is a hard black rubber bushing between the L shaped lever and the transmission's shift arm.

Twin HY35 or HX35. Reman, with warranty, no core needed, $375 per from a Holset dealer. You should be able to brush 1000 whp (at 3.0 to 3.5 PR). At that point, htturbo sells a hot swappable HX40 compressor/housing for $200 when you absolutely need 1400 to the rear tire.

Someone feels special don't they? What does all that bs you just said have to do with ford turbo 2.3 liters, ls1's, and 351's that you were talking about previously(the ones that are sooooo easy to make power from, hell you searched it on google, must be easy as hell)? Not a god damn thing.... wow you had your car posed next to a TT 5.0.....someone wants a cookie.... ill see if i can find a stale one for you.

Want pictures of a modified 88-89 Volvo GXE cylinder head, for the el cheapo DOHC conversion? No, it's not mine, but the car is owned by, and all the fab work is done by, my best friend Dave. I installed the alarm on the car... I imagine I'll get to redo the engine harness for the coil on plug ignition, lack of distributor, and the Autronic.

Dave and I collaborated on the Turbo Justy, a set of *correctly done* ITBs for his gf's ZC, and I have a small hand in on he + Kevin's 2.7 liter XT6 swapped 87 Subaru hatch. As in the whole AWD drivetrain, you see a lot of hack jobs where they stick with the 2WD, or stock 4WD, transmission.

I have a 351W out of an '89 F-250, and an '89 5.0 engine harness and A9L. It'll be more than 42# injectors and a recalibrated MAF like most the guys run. I just don't have anything to stick it down into, so what's the point of talking about it?

I could show you the pictures of the '71 Mach 1, it has... had... a 351W roller motor out of a '95 truck... but the engine is currently across the shop from the Mustang as it's having new shock towers welded in. Dave's Dad's ride, we used to take it out last summer and do burnouts in it.

Okay, sirrah. Suppose I am a complete ignorant buffoon who knows nothing domestic. Well, if it's so hard getting 500 whp out of a big displacement engine, and 19 y/old kids (Trav-ASS when I met him, Atlee when I met him, Wes now) can repeatably assemble cars *on their sweet ------- own* that rape 500 whp domestics, sport bikes, etc, off of 2.0 liter or smaller displacements and pump gas.... well, just answer me this: What's the ------- point of a large displacement V8 if it's at a disadvantage from a four cylinder 1/3rd the size?

Well at least you're being reasonable about this. :) I like the ignorant buffoon part, it fits you well. Just out of curiousity what's the disadvantage of a large displacement v8?
