How do wireless laptops work? Like the ones that are out of the home? You see people sitting in truck stops on laptops. How the ---- does that work?

I went into Staples looking fro a wireless USB connector and was amazed at the crazy ---- they had. I didn't know what half of that ---- was or how it was used.

you can connect anywhere there is a Wireless Acess Point (WAP). Most at rest stops, coffe shops, public parks ect. are open to the public.

A lot of places put them in b/c they attract the business of business people on lunch break.

wireless laptops have wireless cards built into them. You can add them if you want, and some can use external antennas for increased range.

verizon offers a wireless card thats unlimited around $50 a month....
I need to try this but where i live the houses are so ------ out....and all my neighbors are either gay or old...i'm the only derelic for a couple blocks and they know to pull their children in the yard when i come around so they don't get hit

yeah i know, my buddy doesn't do the dss cards anymore. I dunno what he does, but his ---- lasts for a year where as the dss cards before only lasted like 3 months. I dunno, I've been outta this ---- for a while. He also says that one of his associates can hook me up on wireless interent for free. We'll see what happens.


I need a better wireless card though, the reception I'm getting ain't great

Just get on the "share plan" with a few buddies. DTV won't notice unless you get more than like 5 cards activated. I am on my parents account and I just throw them the $5 a month for my card.

I have found that most internal cards that come with laptops are not as good as aftermarket or external cards/adapters.

yeah i agree with the external aftermarket card thing, hell some external cards own other external cards, my netgear is better than my airlink, but then again not all the sources that come up on the netgear are worthwhile


oh and about the sat. thing, that family share plan does sound good, I didn't even know they do that. But I'm gonna see what this brotha can hook me up with, he usually charges people 400 for this one year hook up, let's see what he can cut for me Plus he does it so much he has like thoudands of channels or close to it. He just told me he found his 8th **** channel, it's like a chinese **** channel :P
