H-T =JDM Rice
I get so damn sick of reading Honda Tech, and seeing how everyone has to do the exact same thing to their car, or they are not cool. Here's how it goes...
Somebody gets up the nerve to post up a picture of their car. It's a pretty decent car, but the poor guy doesn't have a ton of money, and besides it's a project, so the car isn't perfect.
If this car has little to no JDM parts on it this is the response he gets:
-you car's ok, not really my style though, put a cf lip, amber corners, and some painted integra wheels and it would be cool
-take off that factory spoiler for a cleaner look, and get rid of those 17" wheels and put on some jdm stuff to make it cool
Or, if his car has tons of JDM stuff he might get a response like this:
-nice car, but you should have gotten XXX product
-you should have gotten xxx rims, they are much more JDM
-your HID's have a poor dispersion pattern
I get sick of reading all that stuff. Just because every car on the road isn't exactly like mine (or what I wish it was like) doesn't mean it's a POS. Cars are a matter of style, and everyone's a little different. You don't have to flame a poor guy not having the same stupid JDM stuff that every other HT'er has. It really makes me think that JDM is the modern rice.
What does everyone else think?

---- Honda-Tech. The JDM bandwagon. You aren't cool unless your car was completly made in Japan. I'm surprised they don't require you to be Japanese to be a member.

That is sad that some guy tries to build a car on a budget and then gets flamed by others that have loads of cash. I say ---- that ---- and ---- them ,they aren't driving it. I would paint it flat black and write GOD HATES YOU ALL on the side of it. ******* are to caught up in fancy paint and interiors blah blah blah that they forget what it means to make a car yours. The lifestyle has been tainted

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way. Let me put it this way---
My car philosiphy: Evaluate your tastes in cars, your likes and dislikes, then evaluate your means to build a car (how much $ you have, does it have to be a daily driver etc.) and decide what you want out of your car. Then build a car based on that, screw what every one else thinks.
The H-T car philosiphy: Why the hell don't you make as much money as I do? Why don't you like the same things I do? Why don't you spend $25000 on your car although you have other aspects to spend your money on (college, family, home etc.) You should build the same car that I have, because it's the best!

The thing is Fiero, 90% of the people flaming others don't really have tons of cash or even nicer cars but since they are on the internet they can open up their big mouth, without having to back anything up!

everyone remember the honda-tech kills thread... where some guy went to the dyno, and he was talkin about how he saw a TT camaro make 750whp... and then a bunch of douche bags said it was weak cause you had to have 1500whp on a TT v8 to brag about it... lol... then the guy finally at the end that was talkin smack finally said he had a stock civic lol

JDM parts are not all rice. think of it, an OEM car maker makes an option for your car to make it better or more versitile i would get it. jsut becouse you cant get them or dont whatn them it isnt rice. but i do belive H-T goes off the boat with forceing people to do ----. But for thoes of you that think JDM is rice, step back and take a good look at what tehy are ment to do. My JDM 1pc integra lights light the road FAR better than the USDM ones. They handle an H4 bulb and are easy to maintain. del Sol's have a ton of dealer option that dident come with the sols. 90% of them are functional. are 15's for rims rice? do they need to be 17's? i consider 17' are pushing rice, there not functional, they dont help the car handle better, they have bump stear. its all in the eye of the person having it. Let them spend the money the way tehy want but i do agree in not forcing it on people herance why i dont go "get this JDM or that JDM" .
