How do I find out if I have wrong struts, I dont have the boxes anymore. Are the part numbes stamped into the shock body? That could also explain the occasional clunk from the rear, which I have disassembled the struts multiple times trying to find that, everything is proplerly torqued, not Jjust a couple blips on the gun (Im flatrate at work, not home hehe). I bought the struts new (KYB AGX's) and they looked the same as old when I opened them, but I dunno. I do still have the old springs & struts if that would help. Thanks for all the responses!

I dont think Im going to remove anything, everything in there has a function, if I remove that "stopper" the upper mount would be loose, over bumps causing the spring to collapse seperate from the strut, basically having no dampening effect. Maybe Im not sure what youre talking about, but as far as I know, everything thats in there is going to be required to function right. Heres a pic of the upper mount assembly apart, what part are you refering to (name in pic)?

Put a couple dead hookers in the back, should level it out.

you must have gotten the wrong ones. how long has it been since you bought them? get in touch with whoever you bought them from and let them know whats up and see if they'll do anything to help you out. when i put my h&r's on, no settle time, they were on and perfect and have been the same for the last 2 years. also, h&r puts the "dead coils" in there as part of their design, its normal.
