Holy crap that was nuts. I figured the distance he jumped was approxemately equal to 11 and a half tractor trailers lined up. Thats including the trailers... Insane.

Just imagine if something went wrong during the jump... that dude would be daed or a handicap for life... i bet he got paid good though, but the the amount of money he got would be just enough to cover the cost of funeral or about a week in hospital maybe including a sugery not even a major one at that. So i say it's a dumb move on his part, but that's just my .02

I just watched that a few weeks ago on tlc or disc one of those channels. Yeah that guy hit hard! He was fighting the wind on the day of the jump and had a nasty backwind. Shot him WAY over the target landing.
