Default HF Manifold

is there a good way tp paint an HF manifold and get rid of the rust and just clean it up a bit? Mine looks like ----. i know its an hf but i would like it black or something

use those 1000 degree (or whatever degree it is) high temp paint. but I think it will still burn off if it gets red hot.

It will eventually look like ---- anyway, just leave it alone

1200 Degree paint and/or a heat shield would take care of the looks. I did the paint with mine, it lasted a few months, but it will eventually go back to look like ----, unless you can get it coated.

I painted mine too.

Smelled awful when the paint burned off. Now it had black and rust colored stripes.

I sandblasted mine including thehes shield and then wiped it down with a acetone/tumbler and painted it VHT 1500 deg f cast iron grey.It looked brand new and help up fine for the few months i was using it.

just make a heat shield. I was fortunate enough to snag my hf mani w/ the stock shield... which was in good condition. I get compliments on the heat shield for some reason. :P

Go to a place that sells wood stoves. I bought some spray paint from them that has been on my manifold for 2 years and still looks good.

get a brand new oem cover from honda, its 53 dollars and can make it look really clean.

I agree on the heat shield [painted or new] really adds a nice clean look to the whole setup.
