i'm not much for the enviornment so i was thinking about gutting my cat. what differance would that make on flow and sound, and how do i do it?
i have a d16y8, t-25,SMIC, vafc,440's, 2.5" DP and from the cat back is also 2.5".

don't do it, just pull it out and put a test pipe in. Having a hollow box in there makes it sound like ----, and flows badly, you could gut it and the put a pipe through it if you need it to look like you have a cat though

thats a good idea that jung had... i gutted mine... and it flowed way better... but it does sound a little deeper... nothing too drastic, but powerwise it was the cheapest mod ever.

dont cut anything.. just unbolt the exhaust where it bolts up to the cat and get a lil string or strong wire ties and move it down a bit
