something similar to this happened to me when I went to the German army shooting range,(note! this event is a great opertunity for any us soldier stationed in Germany) at my first time firing a pistol in my whole life I shot the german version of our 9mm forgot the name of it, but it has a lot of kick to it. when I fired it in the prone position I had it too close to my face and the recoil bust me in the nose, lots of blood. :1

the biggest handgun i've shot was an old .45 revolver. it had some punch, i can only imagine a weapon neraly twice as powerful
