Ground Points
Im interested in finding out where every1 has their stereo components (if applicable) grounded.
For example... Is the Head unit grounded to stock radio grounding wire? Where are the grounds for your amps? etc... thanks! |
Re:Ground Points
my head unit is grounded to the stock ground wire, and i don't have a system hooked up right now, but i usually lift the carpet in the trunk and find a good metal to metal bolt and sand down the paint on and around it for amp grounds.

Re:Ground Points
yeah just sand any paint in that area off and the buzzing should go away if not try out a couple other spots for a better ground

Re:Ground Points
thats the plan.. but you see i have a high demand system in there.. alot of people run the head unit and a sub amp.. thats why they might not hear noise (LPF). I am running two amps, one for sub and one for front component sets and thats where i hear the whine.
