well i got this turbo off a 91 Volvo 940(quadines favorite type of vehicles), im wondering if this turbo will have any lag or will it spool up fast for my SR20DE motor in my NX. If anyone have any other ideas on what other stuff i would need to buy, like what size injectors? or if i can use the Volvo ones. Right now im thinking of buying a Johnny race car IC. if your looking for injectors why dont you just get some off the sr20det...there pretty cheap...you you can be really ghetto and not use any managment....there are 2 guys on zilvia.net that are running 6 psi no managment with no detonation.....but just use the stock sr20det injectors and run the afc

Haven't I told you guys that my expertise in volvos doesn't extend past the 240 series? Yes the 940 share many of the same features, as the 85-93 volvo 240 series (I own a couple of them) with the B230F motors. This is the B230FT motor which I believe was made between 91-95. I am quite familiar with the N/A forms of this car and know a little bit about the turbo'd and diesel volvos. The injectors on that car should be something somewhat generic. Working parts counter I remember seeing them go for around $40 each and fitting a wide array of different cars while dealership charges $100 each.

I would have to dig up specifics for you and tackle the brickboards to figure this one out but if you can pick up the injectors for next to nothing it might not be a bad idea.. I can't recall if they are peak & hold or what.. hard enough trying to measure the flow.

That should be a decent spooling turbo, the ones I've compared it to while driving a 240 or 740 turbo spool well on the 2.38 litre motor.. I'm sure you won't have a problem and definately shouldn't experience any flow restrictions.

Let me figure out what's up with the injectors on that car and get back to you.

That thing is way to small for a SR20, that thing is going to spool like ------- mad.

You guys ever drove a SR20DET in a Sentra all stock? They spool so fast with that T25. I'd go for a larger T3 if I were you.

I've never been inside an SR20 but I've been in hundreds of volvos.. The B230F motor flows pretty well and most of the turbos I've seen spool fast. Granted that motor has a lower redline I don't see how the SR20 is going to outflow it (unless of course from a higher rev limit).

My point is about the B230F/B230FT flow pretty hefty for their size and have a good sized OEM exhaust to compensate. Damn I even have a B230F head fresh back from the machine shop sitting on my desk back in arkansas.. I would ask someone to take a pic but I know that will never happen.

Nice to see another nissan person here. But as for injectors, I'm assuming the SR20DE fuel rail is the same as the SR20DET fuel rail. Therefore the following injectors would work (depending on what year of SR20DE it is), 270cc KA24DE, 370cc purple top s13 SR20DET injectors, RX-7 550cc and 850cc injectors (with modification), and then of course the pricey nismo injectors and such.
