You ------- moron. I'd say a mild 350, shift kit with a 2400 stall and that bitch would be a fun cruiser. Nice car!

Keep it simple and keep it classic!

If you change out that steering wheel let me know.

Some of those older nova's with the six cyl's came with shittier chassis not made for a 8cyl. I wouldn't swap motors.

Lol. Better plan on a tube frame then. The Chevy II did not have that good of a chassis even for stock power.

yeah i lost my job and i can't afford to drop my damn 350 in it. so i'm trying to get the L6 running, as of right now we think the cam gear jumped a tooth. today i'm pulling the timing cover off to look at it.
if it did jump a tooth i'm going to replace the timing gear set (not a timing chain set, a gear set) if it didn't jump a tooth then i'm pulling the engine out.

i got tired of the impala tail lights and i've started cutting out the rear to put the stock lights in.
half way done \/

1st and 2nd gen novas can handle a v8, there are plenty of them out there.

i don't know about simple and classic, but it's not gonna get big chrome wheels or anything like that.
if you want that steering wheel make me an offer, most likely i will not be using it.

my plans for the near future is to get the L6 going. right now it will drive around the block, but has some issues. we think it's the cam timing keeping the intake valves open too long.
i've decided to get rid of the stock steering setup, they are rear mounted so they require a front sump oil pan. there is a company (church boys racing) that makes a rack and pinion setup for the car, but it's $1700. it's a good looking setup, but this is mother ------- HMT. some guy named bill built his own back in 1994 or some ----. a few people have done his diy setup. i will be doing it as well, and i will post some pics here.
it uses a chevette rack and dodge neon tie rod ends. pretty cool set up.
i will be dropping a 350 in the car, all i need is a job so i can get some cash together. i'm shooting for high 11's with the car by the end of the year (09). my ultimate goal is either my nova or my 98 civic coupe running a 10 by 2010. the civic would be turbo the nova would be NA.

thanks for the interest in my nova, i love the car and i'm trying to get it back on the road asap.
now i gotta go work on it.

oh if i can get the L6 running i might look into a turbo setup
