it works with 2 inches because you just slide on the ground, no snow needed.

no way man, its the same principle as a waterski, you need surface area to dissipate the weight.... that thing doesnt even move, i call extreme bs, unless it was on a sheet of ice

dissipate is probably the wrong word. with a larger surface area the pressure is lowered, so you don't exceed the pressure needed to go through the snow. you have the same weight no matter what, pressure is pounds per square inch, so if you have more square inches and the same pounds you have less pressure.

2 inches of snow is as good as sliding on ice.

I don't doubt that it works, I just doubt that it would work well in thicker snow, i.e. his 10 inches.

All i gotta say is someone had way too much time on their hands lol. If ya put flat ski's on it, it would do much better though

#1. It doesn't dig in like you think. If you look closer the front of the rails were heated and bent up about 6 inches. It DOES work so take your BS calling somewhere else. DId you tell flexible flyer that their steel runner sleds were not going to work or are they some of the best sleds ever?

#2. I didn't have too much time on my hands. I couldn't go anywhere and it took about 30 min. to throw together.
