Default Goodbye Honda, Hello Yoda *more pics added*

Well I finally got rid off the Del Slow and bought a real car, my second MK3 Supra. The only thing I can think off that I would want different is a manual(5 spd swap coming this summer, hopefully b4 the daytona meet :P) and leather would have been nice. But other than that its great, pulls like an inline six turbo RWD should Heres some pics

Hey, you copied me!!!

Im in the market for a Mk III supra no that my CRX is gone.
Yes That gen is fat as a hog and heavier then the Mk IV.

But that 7M Engine is probably as strong as they come.
Anyways Im holding out for an 89-92 with all the options and a nice interior

You should check out SupraForums.com....

They are about as stuck up as honda tech and spend about 15-20 posts talking about what filter is best, but if you search there is some awesome info as well as people

Yeah its my lead sled at a whopping 3600lbs but its all good cause I could make 500+ RWHP on stock internals

Yeah I wanted the 89+ years too cause I think they look alot better, thats why I got an 89

yeah but to get 500 rwhp you better make at least 600 hp cuz thats how much of a loss your losing with a supra. I remember reading in a magazine of a supra on a dyno that has 320 hp stock but was only making 260 rwhp i was damn thats some lost

No the drivetrain doesnt have that much loss, the R154 Tranny (the 5spd that you want to swap in) is a pretty stout and efficent tranny, where you get the loss is in the 2piece driveshaft. Plenty of guys on the Supra forums are posting 400-500rwhp numbers with the usuall mods (AFM,550cc injectors, bigger turbo, intake, exhaust, tunning)

Just make sure you get that head gasket replaced with a metal one. Toyota's quality control was out to lunch when it came time to torque the HG, and they came out of the factory undertorqued, which means they are notorious for blowing. At the very least retorque those bolts to 70+lbs

Yes its a damn fat ***, but with 300-350rwhp capabilty on the stock CT26 turbo you dont need a diet. They are much better suited to crusing at the weight.

Also that damn torque on the 7M engine is crazy. It was a truck engine that they modified to fit in a car. So you'll often see your torque numbers higher then your HP numbers.

Oh and also check the wiring on the knock sensor. For some reason the connector on the sensor goes bad and the engine throws a code at you for knock even when its not knocking. Its due to this plug deteriorating

Yes I know all about the BHG, thats what killed my first supra. A new HG with some APR Head bolts is on the top of my list
