JUst went through school not to long ago and I am almost postive thats how it works with internet signal. Do you know anything different, fill me in. If the network is unsecured and its being broadcast its not like the door is unlocked. Its teh door being unlocked with a giant inflatable flailing arms man in the yard screaming COME INSIDE!!!!

well one way is this.
1. if their file system is accesible on their computer then do this
1A. start deleting random files
1B. delete their system32 file.
1C. take control of their computer via remote assist.
2. dont run wireless anymore, just use a cat 6 cable that has plenty of length on it and drag it around the room.

Yeah it's a grey area because some people just go buy a laptop that says wireless internet and think that in some places the magic internet just comes to their laptop. I think the court would throw it out if you could prove you weren't intelligent enough to know what was going on...
MAC filtering and WEP are both pretty shitty. WEP can be cracked and if they were smart enough to get some MAC addresses before you secure it I'm pretty sure they can just clone it. I think WPA is even crackable now but I'm not sure. Either way, most ---- supports WEP, so I just use that since 99% of people won't know how to get around it, and it's easy to set up.
