Good and cheap digital camera?

Alright I need a digital camera. I had a Sony before, it was actually my buddy's who stole it at some party :-\ but I think I broke it so he took it back. So whats a decent camera thats not too expensive? I'm very computer and technology illerate if it doesn't deal with cars so I don't even know whats good and whats bad. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated...

Thanks alot. If I knew what the hell a Wally World was I would go there. Boost, does yours record movies? I'd like one that would so people could get off my nuts about wanting vids of my projects.

Hell no mine doesn't record movies. That's high tech ----. I have a digital "video" camera for that. :P

It's a decent camera. The rechargable batteries suck ass so don't buy the travel kit. Just buy a set of standard rechargable batteries and a cheap ass charger. I have a big ass memory card for it, but it doesn't work very well. Soemtimes I can't get the pictures out of it with the card in it so I usually get stuck with the factory 17 picture limit. If the batteries aren't at least 90% charged and you try to transfer to your CPU it will say "battery level too low, replace battery or connect to external power source". That really pisses me off.

Ok, so it's really just a piece of ----. I lied. >:(

I have an older 2MP Kodak easyshare and I still like it. Good quality, takes movies, and is easy to use. I got mine from Amazon, b/c they have free shipping (and no tax), and they usually run a deal where you get a free memory card. Good luck.

Ive used a kodas easy share. I hated it. the damn software was a bitch to get working right, if at all.

at home I use the HP cameras, this thing kicks ass. it does video w/ sound but like 10 sec. you gotta get a larger memory card to be able to do anything with a digi cam.

camera cost 199CDN$
