Good bye Canada

Well me and my gf have been thinking about it lately, and we might move to the west coast. We are sick of the winter and we would just like a change. She has started school for nursing. But she isn't a registered nurse. Anyone on here have a wife or mom or knwo someone that is a nurse in the states? She wants to knwo what they make and we heard that some place will even pay for you to move there and pay for your school?! Can you guys help me out with some answers. Also does anyone knwo what it takes for a couple of white people to become US citizens. Can't be that hard cause i've been to california before :P thanks guys

Chris.

The only nurses on the west coast are fat greasy latinas that have 80 kids at home and get paid $6.75 an hour. Don't expect the supply of fat greasy latinas to dwindle anytime soon. Move to the mid-west where they still have American nurses. :y

Citizenship? WTF is that? Just sneak in like everyone else and wait for our politicians to hand life to you. ;)

now you're thinking cause the west coast socal is where its at.

now to answer your question. friend of mine went to a COMMUNITY COLLEGE and finished their nursing program, starting pay was 25and hour when she got out. that was like 2 years ago, don't know what she is making now.

to make things more interesting, bclose friend's mom makes 550..... a DAY! i've seen her pay check stubs. makes me wanna be a nurse.

My mother is an RN labor and delivery, she has delivered thousands of babies in her 25 year or so career.

I think she made about $95k-$100k last year.......This is in Florida.

There's a huge nurse shortage in the US and alot of places by me have like bonuses for like sign-on and schooling. To bad you'd be stuck in the same situation your in now with winters since I'm just in WI.

My fiance for another 12day is in school for nursing Chris. The nice thing now is that the Ontario Gavernment is quarentying Graduated nurses a full time job unlike the regular 2-3 part times.

But she also has teachers and girl a year ahead of her getting offered $20,000 Signing bonuses and GREAT Benefits to work across the border. But you have to be registered. Sarah, (my fiance) has already got small offers as she has work in nursing homes that need full-time RNs but she also is getting into Infant Critical Car, so that's the other end of the Spectrum!!!!

My sister is a "nurses assistant" as of now and making pretty good buck. She's going to become a RN sometime soon and be racking in the dough like there's no tomorrow 8)

If you don't like winter then Alberta isn't the place for you. But hey, if you move to Calgary, come say hi. ;D

Unless you have dual citizenship, no matter what you will remain a canadian citizen, as long as its not an emergency, you have all rights to cross the boarder back in to canada and see your family doctor or you dentist.
