i had my brother, turbo4life, the O0, changed my head a while back and long story short he cut a few corners and the timing was off among other things. So with that fixed i'm ready to roll out. currently running 14psi w/ 450's. Gonna steal my bro's road racing slicks as compensation, just wondering what would be the ideal pressure for the tires. They are 205/50 15's

also, i have a home made traction bar and ebay springs w/ dead stock shocks if that means anything.

any predictions?

45 psi in the tires.
they are made for road racing so you want some high pressure in them. ---- maybe even 50+psi

first run was the fastest of the day even with no traction in second. when i warmed the slicks up better, i couldn't get it into 3rd on the last run.
would have gotten the trophy if i beat an 11 second corvette.

20. i had less traction than i do on the street with regular tires :S

talked with some of the drivers and they said the track was very slick too

i posted the setup before but here it is again:

D16Y8 w/ h-beam rods and std bore vitara pistons
China t3/t4 mani and wg combo
greddy intercooler/piping/bov
3" exhaust w/ summit turbo muffler
14 ps w/i 450's 12.7 AFR at the top, injectors are maxed :l

next week when i'm not driving the car, i'll try to retune with ~20 psi and the 900cc injectors i have. hopefully tuning with them will go better this time since the timing is fixed.

btw don't people usually run 13's with a 103 mph? there was another hatch at the track that ran a 14.3@93

also, downloading software to convert the videos, should be up in a few hours. I dont think you guys would wanna download 1080p video 3 Gb for a couple of minutes.

103 mph - should be around low to mid 13s

my times in the evo were 13.3 @ 104 with a 2.0 60' and 104 deg weather....

300 miles on it. thats how you break in a motor.. lol

it seems that whenever i got a better launch, my tranny would refuse to shift. There is no more synchro left on 3rd gear. I have to double clutch to prevent grinding.

My last motor was at the track within 100 miles of its last rebuild. Put a couple heat cycles in it to seat the rings and your good to go. If its gonna blow, its gonna blow.

my best time so far has been 14.2 at 101mph in my D15b-t hatch with a 2.3 60 ft if that helps u at all.

stock 13 steelies i think they are 165 70 13 maybe 175 dont remember had them at 18psi pep boy specials :) lol.

some new struts will help a good bit, my struts on my crx were blown out and i was running mid 14's at like 102-103 mph with horrible 60 fts. i never went back to the track after i installed new struts but there was one hell of a noticeable difference in traction and reduced wheel hop with the new struts. just get the cheapie kyb agx's they are pimp ----!

I am planning on getting new shocks, mine are pretty much dead. never thought suspension could make that much of a difference. Thanks for the advice.
