going to japan for sure...
I just got back from talking to the "career planner" and they offered me this:
1. I can go to Mainland Japan. 2. I can take my wife, and our little doggie. 3. I cant get a different job, but if I stay in the job I have right now, they will give me a $6900 sign on bonus (before taxes) 4. and I will probably be in a non-deployable unit meaning I would stay in Japan. dam, i scored huge. the only part I dont like, if I re-enlist, they could possibly send my back to Iraq now. :-\ |

well...as far as waiting for orders, i have to submit my "package" to be considered and where they need me.(from either of my 3 choices)-all 3 of them being japan.
but im going....its just a matter of when :-\ im thinking around the march april time... as far as hooking people up, you guys will be hooked up. dont worry. let my wife and I get over there, and get settled in, then you fuckers will get hooked up. if any of you think you might want to take a little trip to japan, come visit me. ;D a trip from LAX is around $600 into Tokoyo. let my wife and i get settled in, then you can come over. ;) |

It cost alot if you try to go through say UPS but on the bases they have USPS post offices with fairly decent prices but delivery time can definately be a week and up depending on where in the US it's going and how many times a week the base sends out mail stateside.
