Going to Japan
 

my company is sending me to the land of the rising sun in October. it is a pretty sweet deal actually, i even get paid for all my flight time! i will be flying directly to Nagoya. i was just wondering if anyone with experience had any tips for me. i will be there for 5 days. i have been told there are car parts shops everywhere. i'm going to be scoping for some good deals in my spare time hopefully. when i get back i will post pics.

instead of just keys and change you'll be putting in that tray at the metal detector at the airport you'll be pulling car parts out! ---- the carshops go to the damn junkyards yo! Save some cash and find some cool ----!

If you can get your hands on an SiR badge or something of the like, I'll buy it off of you... Been decorating my room with car parts recently, want to continue the trend :D

actually i'm canadian, i'm sure they will treat me fine. the company i work for is a well respected japanese company so it is all good.

If you're a coffee drinker....
Check out the vending machines there and grab a can(yes a can!)of "Pokka" coffee.
They got all kinds of weird ---- in vending machines there,from used panties to fried rice.

from what ive been told by friends over there, parts are so abundant its sick. my buddy got 2 swaps, which he pulled with LSD and anything else he wanted off the cars, for $500. :o

parts are useless there with more than 40K miles as everyone knows.

take alot of pictures of true JDM. i would be interested to see how we copy there style, and how the real style is. everything from interior to wheels, to under the hood. if you can. *from what my friends say that have been there, seen the scene, its all about whatever works, and makes it go fast and looks decent. there are reasons for body kits, lips, and ---- like that.

I would really like to see some pictures though! thats all i want!

i'm going to take as many pics as my dc will hold on a 128 stick. maybe some video too, but i don't know anything about where to host it online.

from what my friends tell me who are stationed in okinawa parts are so abundant and cheap its crazy. you can buy parts along the streets and everywhere in between. they love americans because older parts to the japs are worthless and of coarse we would rather have there car parts than there $2 hookers! so take alot of money with you!!! you will comeback with alot of ---- -but they also say depending on where in japan you go, the parts become scarce. :-\
