I just went last month... I've got a few excellent tips to ensure a drunken (but cost effective) time:
- If you want to get drunk cheap, play video poker AT THE BAR... if you play out on the floor you have to wait for those waitresses, and you're not going to get drunk. make sure you TIP the bar tender (put a buck or two in the cup with the receipt... it's comp'd if you're playin). That will ensure you're drinks will have a good amount of booze in it.
- Do NOT buy a drink at the bar... they're like $8+ (unless you're gambling, then it's free)
- If you want to gamble for real, go play a table game (blackjack, roulette, etc... those waitresses are about as quick as the bar, only because you're gambling with more money, they want you to get drunk).
- And if you're walking the strip, buy a 22 oz at the 7-11 to get get it started.
- Ride the NY NY rolller coaster! (unless drunk)

and the drinking is free in the nice casinos as long as you're gambling. If you want a taste of the real vegas then go to old town. Its a little more sleezy and old but its way more fun to hit the slots and games there, and if you're looking for cheap ladies, thats probably the place to do it. Plus biddies serve you beer after beer wearing very little clothing. its hard not to enjoy yourself

spend smart and don`t tell yourself "what happen in vegas stays in vegas" apprently crimial record is not one of them if you got arrested. :1
after u got there just park the dam car at free parking lots (most casino parking lots are free) and take the bus, yea, BUS, or simply walk if you are planning to visit all the "spot". they have some two level bus that goes back and forth on the strip, its like 2 bucks per ride but then you can ask the driver for a flat rate daily pass. driving on the strip is a bitch on weekends, it could take up to an hour to travel a 2 miles going STRIGHT on peek hours(12am ish?). Unless you know how to go around parking lots and taking short cuts. All the cabs are flat rate and they will prety much pick you up wherever whenever when you wave your hand. It only costs a few bucks to go between clubs/casinos for the full load of ppl.
I am sick and tired of going to vegas but I will be up there again on the 18th LOL
a little more to add after I saw the post above. To get to old town you can take las vegas blvd, go toward Stratsphere and make a left on MAIN, its completely different there, older slot machine that actually pukes out COIN, cheaper and better food. once a while they have these little shitty show (Fear factor was one of them lol) on fremont blvd, the lighting and stuff are pretty nice too.
O If you take lasvegas blvd going toward south, after you pass South point casino you will see a wine store in a bit on your left handside, they have all kinda liquor and tons of wine to choose from
