SON OF A ------ BITCH

ok here is my problem and how it started....
my car was running cool and i had a VAFC but i pulled the engine to change the tranny, IM, clutch.... soo i do that and i switch the ground and hot wires and try to start the car.. it doesnt turn on.. i fix that and figure out my problem is a ground wire from the tranny... by this time i have take my vafc out to sell and i just snip all the wires.. since i didnt know what was wrong and why it wasnt starting i figure it could be the ecu so i restripped soldered yada yada the ecu... so now the ground is on and there is not a vafc anymore... the car starts and then i smell something burning and the CEL is on... so the ecu has been burnt (look at the pics from my last post)... car runs normal just a CEL on constantly... i check it and my iat sensor is melted (came with my skunk2 IM)... now my turbo setup is on with hondata on this burnt ecu... its running alright but very rich and the hondata light is blinking... so i go get a new ecu today and i hook it up and it smokes at the same spot as the other one but i turn the car off very quickly so there is no damage... and there is still a cel 10 iat but i replaced taht one and barely drove the car after i replaced it and i also checked it yada yada yada... do you think its cuz of my underdash harness? this is all i can conclude.... SORRY ABOUT THE LONG ------ STORY IM JUST SO PISSED OFF AND TIRED OF THIS ---- I JUST WANT TO DRIVE MY CAR

Normally I give advice..

But in a situation like this, only you know what you did wrong since you were hacking up your wiring.

I think you fucked up some ---- there brother ;D

so i should get a new underdash harness right? the wiring was a bit hacked up when i got the car from this damn veit.

Me personally, I would sit down with some wiring diagrams and rewire the thing. Maybe for you since it doesnt sound that your very good with wiring, maybe buying a new harness would be the way to go? ;)

yeah i think i have too... but this is the odd thing. when i had the vafc installed it never threw a cel and as soon as i take it out and start the car... nah never mind its the ------ harness

Your map sensor runs through your vafc thats how it changes you af ratio by modifying the voltage coming out of the map before it gets through the ecu. so this is one problem you need to reconnect the map sensor but this wouldn't cause burnt sensors and what not. I'd rewire the whoe thig or buy a new harness

how much do complete harnessess go for?... i would need a whole new engine harness and interior right? i dont see anywhere that it disconnects into two harnesses? does it need to be cut?

scott, im pretty good with wiring, i saw how you were wiring and i would love to help yah :) anytime soon you gonna be in my area ?
