I don't know if anybody remembers, But two years ago i made a post about me rear ending a bitch while i was delivering pizzas for pizza hut. I didn't have the right kind of insurance to be delivering pizzas. Now she had nothing wrong with her or her daughter at the scene. Even drove her explorer home. The only thing wrong was i made the rear drivers side part of the bumper turn downward. I destroyed my front bumper and lip, hood, both fenders, windshield, Radiator, both headlights and corner lights, radiator support, and bent my headers up. I was not even ticketed for it. There was no fault blamed. She was going about 5-8 mph and i was moving about 45. That was May 10th, 2005. The statute of limitations on this is two years, So on may 4th this year, i get served a citation saying i am being sued. She said she has serious personaly injury requiring substantiol Medical visits. (i.e. She went to a chiropractor a couple of times.) Now im being sued to cover her personal damage and for pain and sufforing. Her 4 year old daughter isn't hurt at all and she was sitting in the backseat. She missed the statute of limitations by a couple of days. The attorneys aid also delivered the citation on the 18th (i think) with it being dated on the 4th. It wasn't even fully filled out. So i thought that was really wrong, so i went to the district attorneys office and asked him about it. He said as long as they put the lawsuit in motion before the 10th it doesn't matter what day i was served. Also that the reason it wasn't fully filled out was that it wasn't a peice officer who delivered it to me. A civilian can't Fill it out. So two days later my insurance company (who has known about this the entire time) sends me a letter saying that my insurance has been cancelled becuase of the fact i was delivering pizzas in my car at the time without the proper coverage. I was like WTF!!! so i call them and they tell me it was actually cancelled due to non payment, which is right becuase i sold the car after the sunroof ripped out on the highway and pissed me off about two months earlier. I took it up with pizza hut about why they don't make you have some kind of insurance that covers this and my old manager told me it was my responsibility when in all reallity i had no i idea. They told me i signed something at my insurance the says i can't deliver pizza in my car, which im sure i signed, i just don't remember it. So basically im being fucked with no lube.

Cliffnotes. Got in a car wreck two years ago and now im being sued and have had my insurance cancelled. Fucked up.

Shitty situation man. Some stupid beaner tried to pull the same ---- on me last year, but cop backed me up in court that the guy was completely fine at the accident. Helped that the guy's license was expired though. Get a lawyer, because its bullshit. Cracked out mom probably needs her fix, offer her a few rocks

Yeah, I'd say get a lawyer...If you weren't ticketed or found at fault at the time of the accident, I don't see how she can come back and try to sue you...She might can ATTEMPT to sue you, but if a cop came to the scene of the accident and didn't find you at fault and also didn't make a report of any personal injuries she had, I don't see where she would have a case...And you're right, it's BULLSHIT how ppl(and the law) can wait that long AFTER an incident to take action against you in court, I hate that ----...

a friend is sorta in the same situation. he was speeding on a road at night that turned into gravel and then had a real sharp turn, there was no sign saying gravel ahead. he wrecked his car and rolled it several times. well two years later he gets a ticket for 3000$ i have no clue what they charged him for to get it that expensive. but he just got it this week. i would definitly get a lawyer, because if not you will get assraped by stupid ---- if she has a lawyer.

my ex-neightbore he actually killed some guy in a car accident, the family tried to sue for $ but their lawyer found out they are too broken to even have a good running car.

this was honestly the best advice of any given... its how they bust those people who are claiming disability and ----, and you could also counter sue for false accusations and/or defamation of character. :)

and yeah, anything you legally own can be collected as partial/full payment until they see fit. (cars, boats, bank accounts.. yadda yadda)

if she wasnt seen by a doctor within the first 2 weeks after it happened you'll get off w/out paying. reasonable doubt is your friend, remember she has to prove you're liable, you dont have to prove anything

agreed. just because she can sue you when she did doesnt mean that shes a shoe-in for getting yo ----. two years is an awful long wait for back pains. anything could have happened in that time to make her back ---- up. bike riding, heavy lifting, gang bang of the alabama black snake.......

my friend is going through somethign similar. she was at a dead stop in her car and she was hit head on in the rear by a jeep cherokee. her car was totaled and he car in front of hers was nearly totaled. he was cited 65 by the staties. she felt fine that day and went to the hospital that night. the next day she was in pain. she went to a chiropractor and has had needed physical therapy. i guess a disk in her lower back was damaged pretty bad and the boes in her back and neck are out of alignment. shes pretty much suing the guy for the damages and expecting a large settlement from it. its factual that she was hurt and needed these things done. if the woman you hit can prove that she was harmed in this accident, then i ithink your gonna need a good lawyer :-\

Yea....this sorta thing happened w/ my step-sister....this lady put on her left turn signal and then when she went to go around her she turned right into her, step-sister went for the ditch and barely touched the car, but the moron like 1.5 yrs later sued for 'whip-lash'.....come to find out this lady didn't even work she just pulled one of these every 2 yrs and sued for it....yet another reason why ppl. suck and should be shot >:D

2 suggestions

1 Don't write in public that you bought a car and are not putting it in your name - just incase

2 If the front of your car was totally destroyed like the way you described, it is very possible that she has had some type of back pain. Remember how useless and out of shape most women are when it comes to getting knocked around. If there are any pictures of the front of your car floating around it will look really bad in court. Not everybody knows that the front of all import cars are made of tinfoil.
