GLASS OFF OF EG LIGHTS
how do you get the glass off of eg lights without breaking anything....i just had a spare light and i tried to heat it up like most people say but it ended up just melting the plastic and breaking a bunch of ----......is there a way that i just dont know of....or do people just not take the glass off.......for the record i want to paint the inside black.....would that catch on fire?

umm you just heat it in the stove for a little. Don't jack the heat up so high. You could also do it right and get a heat gun

Heat the glass with a propane torch around where it meets the housing. Just dont burn the housing ;).Then use a screw driver to gently pry them apart.

I put mine in the oven on warm or like 175degF for a couple minutes. Nothing of mine melted, and I painted some of the inside black on my lights and my hids havent caught anything on fire.

^lol, settle down now. I did a whole retrofit with projectors, they shouldnt blind anybody worse than the audi that they came out of.
