More than likly you just needed to bleed the cooling system, thats very common after doing engine swaps or removing all the coolant from the system. That sucks you took the head off, hehe.
I wouldnt torque your stock head bolts over 55lbs. d/b/h Series head bolts are Not Torque to yield head bolts. (meaning they shouldnt stretch unless your torquing them over stock specs) ::) I go in 3 steps 15 - 30 - and final torque to give good head sealage. Jeff |

Nothing like a guy thats having problems with his motor overheating and he says, "I turned it down to 9 psi". hahaha. Way to go Albert.

I just torqued the head to 60lbs, removed the Thermostat... bleed the coolant... then took it for a spin down to santa ana.... to pick up a new hood... cause i was getting tired of looking at that ugly POS that was on there...i was about to throw it inthe dumpster... but i figured i could sell it to some chunts for some gas money...
