I thought primer actually absorbs water, rather than deflects it. I think you're best bet would be a good sand job, clean, a coat of primer, a light sand job, then some paint (I LIKE FLAT BLACK)

How about minor dent and stuff? Don't you have to bondo it to make it seem flat and then primer, or primer first then bondo?

dude just paint that ---- flat black. flat black is the ---- when its clean. but when it gets dirty. it just looks like ----. just go out and buy a cheap gun and borrow a compressor. and paint it yourself. its easy cheap. and u can say u painted it yourself. and it'll look better than **** yellow gold

Sand that bitch down, and buy Rustolem spray cans, they might cost a little bit more then the cheap cans but you can get alot more out of them trust me, sand it down and paint it flat black, primer grey, or army green, those are all nice colors, good luck with it.

if you use a really good primer, a nice high-build primer, make sure you put some sealer on afterward so you can keep your really nice primer really nice. Keep that good absorbing quality hidden under a thin sealer. word.
