Getting a oil feed line.

Ok.. Has anyone had a problem with the fittin on the back of the block cracking and spitting oil out?? I had it once before. The person who installed my pressure guage just used a 1/8 BSP T fitting and attached the stock sensor and the aftermarket sender. It cracked and I had an embarassing oil smoke trail. I noticed when that happened that the guage would bounce around alot because it was not reading the pressure. It bounced at all RPM, 10 (idle), and up to like 80 or whatever it is. Well it's bouncing again, but only when its 60+.

What do you guys do to not have this happen? I've heard of running a hose from the block to a t-fitting on the firewall. Right now its got a t-fitting again, on the block, but I ran a hose off the T-fitting instead of have the sending unit right there and mounted the sending unit to the fire wall.

Re:Getting a oil feed line.

your firewall tee should stop it from cracking off. usually a result in to much weight on that small brass/alum fitting and vibrations.

use white teflon on your fittings also.
