With flat rate shipping it goes up to $140 :X

Not really. The bars need to have some kind of strength to be of any use.

also the strut tower bars have pivot points. That will only make the car move as a parralelogram (sp) rather then removing all teh flex.

Very good point indeed. With the pivot point, the only help the bars are doing is when both sides of the vehicle are loaded equally, which is pointless since the bars are meant for cornering strength.

in theory what your saying makes sence, but i had a set of front and rear bars just like that a few years ago and i notice a huge differnce. im sure a solid one piece bar would be better, but they do make a difference

i have the ebay bars, not those specifically. but the day i installed them i notice a huge difference. for a low budget bar they work fine.

Only improves handling though, right? Like, not stiffening chassis flex on say launches?

I heard that, you know what before I type this I thought about it, haha. I'll share. Old friend said strut tower bars flex the fenders and bend them or kink them. Any truth? ::)

Only way I know of is using some 4X4 box tubing welding from the front unibody to the rear.

Is there a particular performance issue you are trying to correct with these?

I was going to say...the whole point of the bars are to stop the car from flexing, so why do they put pivot points?

Just make your own.

thats true. but its also true about the price also. you can get a bunch of bars from ebay and make the car a lot stiffer than it was for a lot less than a cage. only down side is a cage will be a lot stiffer and safer for a reasonable price
