gauge cluster electrical issue? help a brotha out

this aint a a fi question, or engine management question, or a fabrication skill. so i put it in here...

basically my buddys 1991 acura integra ls-v has been running great. he's been piecing together his kit but til its finished we put it on the bottle jus for fun for now. its been on the bottle for 2 months now as his kit aint finished (jus needs oil lines injectors and an ecu). but last night he was practicing his launches with the bottle turned on in 1st gear since we normally dont turn it on til 2nd gear. for some reason like the 4th practice he went from first to 2nd, 2nd to third them bam. his whole gauge cluster lost all power. the only thing working is his speedo since its cable.

rpm gauge, lights, gas gauge, water temp gauge, all cluster lights EVERYTHING cut out. WTF happened? anyond have his happen to them before? how do i go about even starting to try n fix this?

hbo - help a brotha out.... thanks in advance.

not sure on efs but on 92+s the culster power is connected to the tail and backup lights, check the fuses.

ok cool. grounds and fuses. maybe his fat foot kicked a ground loose somewhere underthere or one was already loose and that last run made it come loose enough to shut it off. ill look for every ground i can find and check all fuses.
