Pennies too? Jesus thats why I still have a leak, all I used were nickels... :P

Actually I don't think there is a silicone type gasket maker that will withstand that type of heat. I havn't seen any, but there might be some out there. Check the autoparts stores and see what the temp. rating of the stuff is. If that fails you can alway's attempt to make a gasket out of thin sheet metal. Copper's alway's a good gasket material.

Tin was a no go? I think the metal has to be able to crush to a certain extent in order to create a nice seal. A few thin pieces of copper sheet metal should do just fine. I personally don't have any gaskets on my turbo-downpipe or wastegate flanges. They leaked at first a little, but have sealed up since then.

Go to a hobby shop, They should have copper sheets big enough to make a flange gasket, they come in various thicknesses too.

It depends on what turbo he's running... Some are quite a bit more difficult than others to find. If he's in search of a gasket for the 14b thats in his signature, then good luck.
