Gasket?

I am getting a leak between the turbo and the manifold, will this affect the boost that i am pushing? I have no gasket in there, will this matter?

Thanks
Matt

i dunno, i have a ghetto ebay 4-2-1 header and there is no gasket between the 4 down to the 2. no broblems here. but boost is a different thing ::)

make one outta some small sheet metal..

then torque it down, o and also. put the bolts on hot, when they cool down they will contract and pull the turbo hella tight, use good bolts!

Good thinking shortyz. How long have you been using the manifold for? I've heard that if you use no gasket, eventually the carbon buildup in the exhaust will seal it up.

Yeah, I'd try and use/make/buy a gasket to fit if the leak still persists. It's been 5 Mos. now Guess that biatch isn't going to seal itself up ;)

Even a tiny ass leak will cause you to lose boost/add lag. :-\

also that close to the engine, it can cause a hot spot and warp the flanges.. or burn them right out.
