I didnt read it, but going off what d16 said...and to let everyone else know, semi's have been using electirc assisted turbos for a looonnnngggg time now. this is nothing new. ??? (to automobiles it is, i think)

The Hard Facts
Most of these high-tech turbo systems are already in use on heavy-duty diesel applications. But Garrett feels they would be just as beneficial, if not more so, on passenger-car engines, both gas and diesel. Shahed showed us graph after graph of data supporting the argument. |

umm incase you douches didn't realize it, the only thing the new garret E-turbos have in common with those electric turbocharges and supercharges is that they both use electricity, dumbass. ;)
