Double clutching is used when your downshifting. Stop watching thr fast and the furious.

you're about a year too late on flaming me for that, but thanks anyways. and rev matching is for down shifting, double clutching is for driving ---- without syncromesh.

um.. both "powershifting" and double-clutch is gay IMO... to each their own but if you have to do that ---- to win or keep up.. learn how to drive better. i used to double-clutch till i found out that its not worth the headache in the long run. thats just my $.02 if anyone cares... peace

rev matching/double clutching... the same thing. Go drive an old ford/chevy truck with a manual tranny. You will have to double clutch if you want to shift from 2nd to 1st gear (you will probably have to do this in your honda too).

Double clutching/rev matching... clutch in, put it in neutral, clutch out, rev the engine, clutch in, then shift down.

Oh and to stay on topic I power/speed shift all the time and your right it's just full throttle shifting. Leave the gas to the floor and shift like normal.

Re:full throttle shift = powershift?

I use a switch on the clutch pedal to engage a 2-step limiter, that way I can shift quick without having clutch problems (clutch goes up in smoke if the engine is at 15psi boost and 6500rpm, and the drivetrain tries to force it down to 4500rpm or so...)

Powershifting is not gay!! For NA it can considerably lower your quarter mile times, its not hype. Ask any muscle car drag racer if he power shifts.

I just rev match, one clutch throw, simple, easy. in second, push clutch, rev match, put in first, let clutch out.
