A guy on our local board (who is no longer local) was on the RX-7 team. He said the civic was pretty dam impressive, and he give the full race guys lots of credit. -the 7 was running on 12psi, and when they took over the car, no couplers were blown off. It was a coupler that fucked them...it was simple stupidity IMO

Hopfully that episode will make it onto the net so I can watch it. Do they film them building the cars too or just the racing?

Ya looks like a total slapped together beater.

I would say the same thing If I was a high end Honda parts maker and got walked by a beat looking RX7.

yup, the car was put together just to run one day. It took 3 days of tring to figure out what was wrong with it to make that 440, the first two days it wouldnt make 300. Then it ran into a wall @ firebird the night be for the race. When the guy who tuned it said its a pos, most likely its a pos. they didnt even have harnesses for it so they borrowed them from AMP down the street, thats why they asked for the back when they lost
