Fuel Tubing
 

Hey,

So what kindof tubing have you guys used for fuel lines or such and where did you get it? I see the steel braided 8AN stuff but its kindof expensive, I just want to get everything figured out and running first. I have a fuel cell that i have mounted in the trunk and need a 10 AN to 8 AN fitting then a bunch of 8 AN tubing and fittings. Do you guys knopw of a good place to get this stuff? Any recomendations?

Summit and Jegs are both pretty decent prices on AN fittings, Earls seems to be pretty cheap.. they have just about any fitting you need.

I know guys that have 4-500 bucks in just damn fittings and hoses in their engine bays.. crazy!

Yah, thats what it seems to be adding up to and I like to avoid that :-\

The stuff is at the bottom, some really cheap AN fitting and tubing for only $2.5 a foot. Tempting, do you think its decent stuff?

I honestly cant say how well that nylon stuff works, never tried it.. The stainless braided line works pretty well. It is kind of a bitch to get the -an fittings to slide over the hose, but after you do a few you get the hang of it. The trick is, having No fray sticking out, and making a good cut on your hose. I like to use tape over the hose, then cut it with a hacksaw.

-8an and -10an 3 ft sections shouldnt be too much

Hey there i have tried the braided stuff from home depo that was left over in my stall from a turbo project an i was in dire need of fuel line that night on a carb swap.Ran it at the dyno an about 2 months before i took it of an put the other carb setup on.All worked good no leaks detected.Even on race gas.
