I've seen a brand new unit, still in the crate, fall off a fork lift and only sustaian damage to the left rearset,clutch lever and a small-*** sctarch in the frame and get totaled. Once the frame takes ANY damage, even a scratch though paint to bare metal, it considered "unsafe" and therefor unsellable. The parts turned around and did a buy back from the insurance company for $1k plau $110.00 inparts and he had a new GSXR1000.
