Fucking Thieves
The week before last someone ransacked my wife and my cars. They emptied out all of the stuff in our glove compartments and center consoles. My gauges were stolen out of my Civic and an mp3 player out of her car. We usually didn't lock out doors but started as soon as this happened.
Then last week someone broke the side window in my work truck and stole my briefcase containing a laptop and my digital camera, not to mention all of my sales information. This morning i woke up around 7AM and went to get something out of my garage and some stupid ---- tried to get the door open with a screwdriver. Now my key won't work and i cant even get to my car which is inside. I thought I lived in a fairly nice neighborhood and we basically keep to ourselves. I moved out of Baltimore area to get away from this ---- and now in rural southern pa I'm going through it all over again. Some of our misfortune is probably our fault but it sucks none the less. Having two young children were starting to feel unsafe in our own homes. Think its time to hide in the backyard with a baseball bat and take my revenge out on anyone who decides to wander onto my property. :4 Sorry just ranting a little bit... |

Can you fence in the yard? How about a camera system? Do you have motion lights? I like the hide in the bush with a bat idea, to bad it can get you in more trouble then the basterds stealing your stuff.

I have a chain link fence around the yard already. Only problem is that its four feet. I'm going to get some motion lights this weekend. Camera system would be nice but its probably expensive as ----.

You can DIY a camera system for $300-400, have multiple inputs record to your computer based on movement. The chinese cameras work fine, but the chinese PVR cards tend to suck, so shop around.

Street justice FTW!!! Capture them and keep them locked in your basement. Beat them daily multiple times. Then hobble them and let them out. They will tell all their theif friends you are a bad mother fucker and to steer clear.
Or just impale them on a stake in your front yard. It worked for Vlad the Impaler. |

Or be proactive, like Rasputin, and make a big production of throwing cute animals off your roof to watch them die. Throw PETA demonstrators off the roof when they come around. Word will get out that you are a bad ----------er and all crime will shift two streets over.

that sucks. nothing worse than someone takin your ---- after you had to bust your ass to get it. ---- movin- you may have left yourself open as an easy target by never locking your ---- but that don't mean you have to remain a target. get them busted by the cops or bust them yourself by waiting for them. and i would definately agree with getting yourself a handgun and cameras or an alarm for the house. might seem like overkill but ---- that- you got a family in there.

What part of PA? Crime rate is really low in this area. I think I was on a site that said in the past 50 years there was like 2 or 3 car thefts in my town and including the local townships around it. Beat them to a pulp if you catch these guys.

i agree with Dr. Boost, buy a gun and start sleeping in your car.
from what your describing its the same person, and each time they go to your house they are getting a bit braver, its just a matter of time before you either get woke up with a gun in your face or come home to a empty house/garage. also you might try asking the police to swing down your street a few times a night and get some motion sensitive lights/camera system, and tell all your neigbors whats going on, never hurts to have an extra set of eyes. |

The one or two cam packages I got to fool with had software that started recording when motion was detected.

Most cam packages have this. My cheap ass TV wonder/capture card has it, and you can also designat certain areas of the screen to watch, or ignore. Say you have a fish tank, you could choose that area of the screen to ignore motion so it won't always be on, but if someone walked into view it would start recording.

any updates on the thieves or your ---- that was stolen? Most of the time where i live the cops just take a statement and description of the missing ---- and kinda shrug their shoulders. its pretty much up to you to find your ---- in a pawn shop or forget it. rarely is anything done. thankfully crime isn't bad here around my neighborhood but that didn't help you out any. :3
