Default ---- Local Speedshops! (well my local speed shop anyways)

I go to the local speed shop cuz I need a couple things for my project, simple things. And me and the dude workin get to talkin about turbos ect... and I tell him about my HMT project. OH MAN, this dude has to be on HT or TurboD16, he was downtalkin 'junkyard' set ups and ---- for like 30min. Then the ---- face tried tellin me their AWESOME $680 OBX FMIC kit is waaayy better than a CCA, and that ppl who buy CCA and cheap IC's (cheap as in price) are fools. I wasnt even going to argue with this fuckface, wasnt worth it. I told him, since he was basically an ignorant dick (ignorant meaning lack of knowledge) I'll take my business else where, and tell my friends the same (like my fiends really give a ---- hahaha theyre as broke, if not more broke then me )

lol, the only speed shop i would deal with is a member of this board. his fastest cars are on HMT kits. serisouly. kevin can vouch for this...

hes a pretty cool guy. he does have a line between business and fun though.

its funny cause that the opposite here...guys will come into the shop talking about all these big money items and this and that ...mean while we might bring up some cheaper yet 100% equally effective method or product that acheieves the same thing, and they are like "oh...I'm not into that whole junkyard or cheap ----" or something to that affect. we never argue with them though, cause the customer is always right and yes we do "push" and suggest our Greddy and brandname items to customers(I mean lets be real, we make our money that way other than installs), but you'll never catch anyone here berating or downing a setup just cause its HMT style.

IMO there is a big difference between shops now a days...there are shops who just want to make a buck and sell and only promote to you ONLYwhats on their shelves and their are other shops willing to hear out their customers and not always be so quick to jump on the "brandname bandwagon". IMO to be the best in this business you have to have expericne with BOTH sides of the game...the side where people say HMT sucks and side where peple are 100% for HMT, its only fair. but blasting someone for the parts they are using is a terrible business practice, I hate guys at shops like that.

I went to advanced auto the other day to get some stuff and i asked if they had O2 bungs and the stupid dumbass kid told me I would have to go to the junkyard to get that!? Stupid idiot, so i went down the street to a non-franchised local auto store asked for it showed me one made by like hoosier and he was like let me check I'm sure we have something cheaper ( i didn't even ask for shomething cheap). Yea I thnk i am done with larger auto store franchises untill they get some compitant employees, I always know who works there cause they have ther neons parked out front with the body kits and z3 fenders, stupid ---- faces!!!!

Sorry i had to vent...Matt

I dont buy form speed shops generally, only tuner toy, stealmode and projekteg (ya you guys are speed shops now!!!! haha) I just went to order a couple gaskets and such, since theyre prices were a little lower than atpturbo and they dont charge shipping, but ---- that noise. The dude was tellin me all about his SWEET DSM, and how I need a greddy profec and a $500 wideband to run my set up right. hhhmmm thats a dead give-away that 1. youre a tard and need to get a new job at pepboys. or 2. your pay is totally based off commission and you think we're all idiots and will do what your superior *** says, cuz youre the almighty cuz you work at a speedshop
