it could be the old fluid that went inside the booster is leaking out ??

or like they all said the only part that would leak is the push rod shaft seal inside the MC. grab a new one and make sure u bleed the MC itself before putting it in or it will never work LOL

u didn't happen to press on the brakes while the master cylinder was out off the car did u?

i dont remember doing that . why? im not all that great with brake so bare with my ignorance.

Julio

BOught a new MC and Booster from a 91 Civic EX and the booster is like an inch larger all around. should be good once i bleed the brakes.

all i need is a second person to pump the brakes. unless you bastartds know of a way to do it solo.

if u hit the brakes without the master cylinder attached u can tear the seals in the booster. but that doesn't really explain why its leaking. if its leaking onto the floorboard then it must be leaking past the master cylinder seal and through the brake booster which means both would be bad

well all is good now. the car runs like it has brand new brakes all around. Got a BOOSTER and a MC from a 91 EX sedan and i love it!
