---- hit -52 degrees celcius today. Blowing ------- snow everywhere. No plug ins at work. The civic barely started and when it did it pulsed from 1000rpm to 3500rpm which I couldn't control, even with playing with the gas pedal. Whatever.

I would ---- if it ever hit -62* F here. Lowest we've gotten in Madison, WI so far is -25 with the windchill and that was wicked shitty :3

That's pretty ------- cold. The coldest I've ever felt was about 0* Farenheit (-18 c) and it was pretty miserable.

funny thing about it... Where a couple of our service rigs are, it hit -60+. The truck engines are running with 2 oil pan heaters and 2 block heaters!

How the hell does someone survive in such extreme cold? I can't imagine a Honda Civic even starting in that cold. I can't imagine walking outside in that cold. You guys must dress in 10 layers and cover yourself head to toe. I also can't imagine how much it costs to keep your house at a moderate temperature.

Today was around 43* here. I can easily live with that.

I call BS, Edmonton was -32, Calgary was -32, Yellowknife was -44, PG Were I am was -36. So unless you had SUSTAINED winds of 50km/h+ you were not that cold. Iirc the Environment Canada forecast was like 20km/h winds across Alberta.

An easy way to tell if it is below -50C is when you spit it will make a cracking noise when it hits the ground, as it freezes on contact.

I lived in Edmonton for 16 years, I am well aware of the weather. :1

I worked 12 hours outside yesterday and it started out at -34 warmed up to a balmy -22 for a while then progressed back down towards -30 :'(

Uh, -35 with a windchill of -49 with wind gusts of 50k last night here in Sask, so ---- yourselves. I doubt I'll be working all week because of this shitty ------- blizzard weather.

Here in Quebec winter seem hotter than usual. Probably beacause of the polution comming from US by golf stream... The winter started very soon (like nov. 21) we had like 2 meters (6') of snow in less than 1 mouth. After this, the weather was going up to +10c (WTF??) creating floods in some regions. Winter is pretty shitty this years... I dont know if we got more than 20 days below -20c wich in not usual here... Now its freezing rain :S and the temp. is -9c . By the way:

It has been cold here lately. Morris, MN. There is just constant wind out here in this flat land.

The temp is hovering around -15 or -20 all day and the wind does not stop.

Think it only got down around -34c here in Calgary. My buddy in Fort Mcmurray called me earlier, suncor shut down their big project until monday because of the temps. He said the propane torches wouldn't light because the propane was coming out as liquid.
